The iFACT-MP initiative, short for iodine Fed Advanced Cusp field Thruster for Mid-Power, that launched in the beginning of the year, is a 24-month project funded by the European Union. Its primary objective is to enhance and solidify Europe's leading role in iodine EP (Electric Propulsion).

Airbus Defence and Space, situated in Friedrichshafen, Germany, organized the kick-off meeting on January 15th -16th, with the involvement of our six partners from the aerospace sector, academia, research, and aeronautical associations.
As the first semester draws to a close, the consortium team will be actively involved in two major conferences. The Space Propulsion Conference, taking place currently in Glasgow from the 20th to the 23rd of May, and the IEPC 2024, scheduled to be held in Toulouse from the 23rd to the 28th of June.
